Coke Hairston Dilworth Obituary
The passing of Coke Hairston Dilworth (Austin, Texas) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Coke Hairston Dilworth to show support.
As we bid Coke farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Coke is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Collett B. Dilworth and Mary Jo Dilworth (Hairston); and his son Coke Bryant Dilworth. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his brother Collett B. Dilworth, Jr.; his children, Leah C. Dilworth and Wolf B. Dilworth (Melinda); his stepdaughters, Shannon Hoagland and Shawn Hoagland Stalzer; and his grandsons, Louis C. Staub and Peter Z. Staub.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the group moved to Zoom, where Coke served as moderator until shortly before his death.
