He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Ruth Sampson. He is survived by: his father Dwight Adelbert Sampson of Smithville, TX; his close friend Linda Rickard; his brother Dean; his sister-in-law Janice Sampson of Victoria, TX; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Kenneth Washburn of Fairport, NY; his close friend Mark Clements (Mark Clements, Jr.); and his siblings' children, Dean Sampson (Jenny) of Corpus Christi, TX, Daren Sampson of San Marcos, TX, Derek Sampson (Jessica) of Round Rock, TX and Sarah Driscoll (Ken) of Fairport, NY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harrel Funeral Home of Austin (4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Live Oak Cemetery (6400 Twin Creek Rd, Manchaca, TX 78652).
