With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doris Gene Sadler Balback (Austin, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Rhoades and Mildred Rhoades; her husbands, Lester Franklin Nolen, Kenneth Eugene Sadler and John H. Balback; and her brother William B. Rhoades.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Nolen, Tracy Skipping (Shaleen) and Leslie Nolen (David Edwards); her grandchildren, Nicholas Vidaure, Wyatte Vidaure, Taylor Schwartz, Kyle Vidaure (Scotlyn), Alexandrea Schwartz (Dave Sweitzer), Miranda Helmbold (Lewis), Kendra Nolen and Shayanne Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Zaidyn Cortinas, Jax Helmbold and Ezra Vidaure. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - North Side (607 E Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78752). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Caraway Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to help cover funeral expenses, in honor of Doris's life and memory.
