She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Byrd and Lee Edna Byrd; her siblings, Lawrence Byrd, Pete Byrd, Corine Dixon, Bernice Carothers and Robert Byrd; her daughters, Wanda Scott, Patricia Ann Scott and Emma Jewel Spence; and her granddaughter Jessica Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Lee Scott (Laura), Aravia Latrell Tucker and Gwendolyn Yvonne Miles; her brother Cornelius Byrd; and her grandchildren, Curtis Scott (Michelle), Dashenika Johnson (Thomas), James Ellison (Stacey), Peyton Adams and Madison Clayton.
