He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth McCalla and Tommie Harris McCalla; and his brother Kenneth McCalla Jr.. He is survived by: his friend Chris Gomez; his wife Maline Gilbert McCalla of Austin; his sons, Dudley Davis McCalla, Jr., Joeseph Gilbert McCalla and Andrew Harris McCalla; and his grandchildren, Josephine Burch McCalla, Lydia Birch McCalla and Angus James McCalla. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, many great-nieces, great-nephews, godchildren, and a host of treasured friends.
