Emma Hopkins Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Hopkins of Austin, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 24, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Emma Hopkins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Margaret Elliot Williams and Nix Williams; her siblings, Margaret Jo Williams, Doris Mae Williams Claborn, Norma Jean Williams Linegar, Betty Opal Willams Pruett, Elsie B Williams Lee, Wanda Nell William Stevens, Walter Earl "Bud" Williams, Clarence Wayne Williams, Ray Nix Williams and Jerry Dan Williams; and her great grandchild Andrew Escobedo.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Real; her children, Emma, David Hopkins (Elaine), Jerry Hopkins (Edithann) and Robin Vogel (Paul); her brother Tommy Williams (KT); her grandchildren, Jesse Hopkins, Justin Hopkins, Wesley Hopkins, Wendy Escobedo, Russell Vogel and Paula Lewellen; her stepgrandchildren, Adrian Heinzer, Matt Bruns and Cody Bruns; and her great grandchildren, Bo, Sorrel of Pecos, JD, Josiah, Jonathan, Olivia, Layla, Emma, Janna Kay, Samuel, Sam, Johnna, Heidie and Caleb.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home of Austin (4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southwest Church of Christ (8900 Menchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Slidell Cemetery (119 Co Rd 2822, Slidell, TX 76267).
