She was predeceased by: her parents, Narciso Escareno Sr. and Josefa V. Escareno; her siblings, Juanita Escareno, Carmen Escareno Mendez, Dolores Escareno (Lolo), Narciso Escareno Jr., Faustino Escareno and Mercedes Escareno Guerrero (Mercy); and her grandson Gregory Rene Acosta.
She is survived by: her husband Guadalupe C. Velasquez; her children, Michael Velasquez of Austin, Edward Velasquez of Austin, Lynda Acosta (David) of Pflugerville, Teresa Flores (Lee) of Pflugerville, Deborah De La Cruz (Chris O'Balle) of Austin and Denise Maldonado (Pete) of Austin; her grandchildren, Pete Anthony Salazar, Jennifer Marie Gonzales, David Russell Acosta, Angelica R. De La Cruz, Kristine A. Escobedo, Victoria A. De La Cruz, Tessa Desiree Maldonado, Daniel Marcus Maldonado and Isabelle D. De La Cruz; and her nephews, Rudy Hernandez, Ray Sanchez, Jr., Mario Molina, Phillip Velasquez, Andrew Velasquez and Casey Vela. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
