With sadness, we share the passing of Felicitas S. Rivera (Austin, Texas). Felicitas, born on May 30, 1929, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Santos B. Rivera; her parents, Florencio Sanchez and Beatrice Sanchez; her grandson Jeffrey Rundle; her brothers, Miguel Sanchez, Vicente Sanchez and Guadalupe Sanchez; and her siblings-in-law, Luis Hernandez, Candido Saldana and Frances Rivera.
She is survived by: her children, Isabel "Liz" Rundle (Michael), Frank Rivera, Maggie Yanez (Ruben) and Santos Rivera, Jr.; her sisters, Petra Hernandez, Janie Saldana and Carmen Sanchez; and her sister-in-law Susana Sanchez. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - South Side (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the San Jose Catholic Church (2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, TX 78704). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704).
