We announce the death of Gary Murchison Cook in Austin, Texas, born in Tucson, Arizona, who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 76. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alice Murchison Cook and William Warren Cook; his wife Sandra Simon of Bastrop, Texas; his daughters, Deborah Rasband (Daniel) of Frisco and Karin Haas (Blake) of Lewisville, Texas; his grandchildren, Rachel Rasband, Caleb Rasband and Haley Haas; and his pet Dora.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (1201 Lavaca St, Austin, TX 78701).
