It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold William Derenberger (Austin, Texas), born in Ravenswood, West Virginia, who passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Derenberger and Sarah Derenberger; and his wife Alvina Derenberger. He is survived by: his significant other Alvina Kappler; his brothers, Homer and Charles Derenberger; his mothers-in-law, Ruth Kappler Schimank (Lorenz) and Doris Kappler Arldt (Edwin); his siblings-in-law, Otto Becker Jr. of Serbin and Janice Kappler Becker of Serbin; and his nephew Donald Glenn Arldt (Sherry). He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and loving neighbors.
The Family requests, in lieu of flowers, that all memorial gifts and donations be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
