It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Orlean Pipkin (Austin, Texas), born in San Saba, Texas, who passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard Maultsby and Lucy Ray Long Maultsby; her sisters, Nila Root, Lorene Probst Tiedeman and Imogene Maultsby; her nephew Stephen Root; and her niece Martha Root Middleton.

She is survived by: her children, Leslie Pipkin Linn and John Pipkin (Kenda); her grandsons, John Luke Pipkin and Joshua Pipkin; her nieces, Karen Root Reeves, Jan Root, Elizabeth Probst Reynolds and Debbie Shilen; her nephew Charles Lee Pipkin III; her great-nephew Sean Reeves (Ariann); her husband Bill; Ashby, Eadan, Kylie, Mark Middleton and Richard Chaffee.
