With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hunter Lee Shields of Austin, Texas, born in Henderson, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2024 at the age of 30. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Julianne Meuth, Bill and Lilla "Sis" Shields. He is survived by: his parents, Sara Meuth of Henderson, Kentucky and Stanley Shields (Karen Wilson Shields) of Henderson, Kentucky; his brothers, Stephen Hope (Molly) of Barrington and Christopher Shields of Henderson, Kentucky; his grandparents, Donald and Rita Meuth of Henderson, Kentucky; and his nieces, Darby and June Hope. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
