With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet C. Schenker in Austin, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jeffrey M. Schenker; and her parents, George Cyr and Pauline Cyr of New Hyde Park. She is survived by: her children, Jason Schenker (Ashley) of Austin and Sarah Gousie (Dana); and her brother George Cyr of Boothbay Harbor, Maine..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Janet's memory to honor her mother, Pauline.
