She was predeceased by: her husband J. W. "Dub" Whiddon; her parents, Robert Clifton Lafferty and Evie Jean "Gigi" Lang Lafferty; and her brothers, George and Ronnie Lafferty.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeremy (Idania), Robert (Joy) and Adam (Heather); her grandchildren, Brayden, Skylar, Jayce, Briana, Myles, Cheyenne, Regan and Anabelle; and her brother Jeff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Zoar Baptist Church in her honor at http://www.zoarbaptist.org., and Jan specifically requested to "perform an act of kindness, spend time with someone in need of a visit, enjoy today...look forward to tomorrow.".
