He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bechtold and Mary Wendle Bechtold; and his siblings, Edward, Leo, Laverne, Ida (Edith), Eleanor, Helen and Catherine Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine (Baran); his children, Matthew (Beth Bechtold) of Saugerties and Monica (Ron Turcotte) of Londonderry, NH; and his grandsons, Brendan, Douglas (Ashley) and Louis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
