He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Garcia Rivera and Manuela Morales Rivera; and his brother Jose Rivera Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Catalina D. Rivera; his children, Juan Rivera (Maria), Jesse Rivera (Juana) and Michelle Rodriguez (David); his grandchildren, Alessandro, Trinity, Lucia, Iris, Emmanuel, Vivienne, Celine (Victor) and Aaron; and his great grandchildren, Indio, Romeo and Josiah. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - South Side (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dolores Catholic Church (1111 Montopolis Dr, Austin, TX 78741).
