She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Jefferson and Lillian Demetrius Brown (Burgess); her husband James Daniel Callaway (Jimmie) of LaPorte; her sons, Mark Steven and James Richard (Dick); her grandson Joshua Callaway; and her siblings, Demetrius (DeeDee), Jasper, Sarah Elizabeth (Betty), Robert, Catherine and Harvey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Callaway of Bordeaux, France (Robert Strandh) and Susan Callaway of Austin; her grandsons, Matthew (Matt) and Andrew Dennis (AJ); Amanda, Lauren, Jacob (Jake), Zachary (Zach) and Meagan. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
