He was loved and cherished by many people including: partner: Ana Maria Icedo Miranda; parents: Sergio, Sr. and Josefina Mendez De La Cerda; children: Joseph De La Cerda (Piper), Ashley Hirn (Sam), Chelsea Beam (Jacob), and Carlos; grandchildren: Christian Harrison DeLaCerda, Jayden Joseph Beam, Jacob Troy DeLaCerda, Jordyn Lynn Beam, Jonathan Slade Beam, Cotton Lane Beam, Benjamin Walker Hirn, Colton Daryl Hirn, and Barrett Hayden Hirn; sisters: Elda Muñoz, Rosa De La Cerda, Irma De La Cerda (Bernard Guzman), Dora Carrales, Francisca De La Cerda, and Julia De La Cerda; brothers: Enrique Carrales and Sergio De La Cerda, Jr. and Ricardo Carrales; nieces and nephews: Rachel Garza (George Garza); other: John Tijerina, Juan De La Cerda, and Randy Brunneman; and numerous other nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - North Side (607 E Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78752). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cristo Rey Catholic Church (2208 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
