She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott McGill and Stella McGill (Gaines). She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Hebert (Jeffery) of Vinton, Louisiana, Lucina Botond (Andrew) of Burnet, Texas, Jane Braugh of Sun Valley, California, Roger Braugh, Jr. (Christine) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sarah Kennedy (Will) of Georgetown, Texas and Scott Enyart of Houston, Texas.; her grandchildren, Greg Schonefeld (Ellie) of Ankney, Iowa, Noelle Schonefeld (Eric Jasso) of Los Angeles, California, Sally Schonefeld (Don Onyeokeziri) of Los Angeles, California, Natalie Farmer (Kyle) of Austin, Texas, Barrett Schonefeld (Kenzie) of Austin, Texas, Will, Henry, Thomas Botond of Burnet, Texas, Mackenzie Dow of Sun Valley, California, Audrey, Evelyn, Cullen Braugh of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sloane, Clay Kennedy of Georgetown, Texas, Lindsey Hebert of Vinton, Louisiana and Isabella Enyart of Katy, Texas.; and her siblings, Janey Weakly (Pete) of Spring Branch and Scott McGill of Corpus Christi, Texas.. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Episcopal Church (200 N Wright St, Alice, TX 78332). A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the Alice Cemetery (1230 Martin Luther King Rd, Alice, TX 78332).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Katy's memory to the South Texas Museum, which is housed at the McGill Brothers Building in Alice, Texas, P.O. Box 3232, Alice, Texas 78333.**.
