He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Turner and Annie Frances Turner Jones; his brother Reginald "Bay" Turner; his stepfather Charlie Jones; and his wife Irene Sterling.
He is survived by: his siblings, Theresa A. Davis (Vennie Davis), Carolis Selman (Larry), Charlene Jones, Lisa Alexander and Phillip Michael Miller. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends including cousins, nieces, and nephews.
