It is with sadness that the passing of Lorene Davila (Austin, Texas) is shared. Lorene, born on March 2, 1930, passed away on September 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Gonzales (Cleotilde Gonzales) and Cleotilde Gonzales; her husband Refugio O. Davila; and her siblings, John Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales, Mary Morales, Joe Gonzales, Josie Andrade and Henry Mejia (Susan Salas Davila).
She is survived by: her children, Rufus G. Davila (Cynthia) and Glenda K. Davila; her grandchildren, Kris Quintanilla (Christina), Nicholas Rivera (Niki), Renee Guerrero (Hector), Sara Davila (Sam), Isabel Mendez (Moses) and Gabriel Davila (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Alexia, Max, Liam Guerrero, Moses, Violet, Charles Mendez, Gabriella, Vivian, Maribel Davila, Abraham Rivera and Rory Quintanilla. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home – Serenity Chapel (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A rosary will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, TX 78704). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704).
