He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Helen Gonzales Polanco; his parents, Miguel Polanco and Encarnacion Soliz Polanco; his siblings, Miguel Polanco, Jr., Carlos Polanco and Rachel Polanco; and his grandson Ramiro Rene Acosta.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Acosta (Ramiro), Melissa Mojica, Louis Miguel Polanco and Melanie Carol Polanco; and his siblings, John Polanco and Beatriz Polanco. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
