He was predeceased by: his father Adán Zabaleta; his mother-in-law Epifania Martínez; his brother-in-law Miguel Carbajal; and his sister Hortensia Zabaleta. He is survived by: his wife Catalina Carbajal Martínez; his children, Erica, Oscar, Huber, Osbaldo, Yobani and Delma; and his pet Junior.
