We announce the death of Margaret Mitchell of Austin, Texas, who passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 95. Margaret will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Dowling and Margaret Hughes; her sisters, Sheila Dowling, Patricia Fairbank and Rose Marie Schuler; and her son-in-law Mark Proctor.

She is survived by: her husband Michael Mitchell; her children, Claire Jenkins (Rob), Mary Proctor, Michael Mitchell Jr., Joe Mitchell, Robert Mitchell (Sharon) and Tricia Mitchell Kim (Bernard); her grandchildren, Sean Mitchell, Michelle Proctor, Colin Jenkins, Benjamin and Amanda Kim; and her great grandchildren, Solveigh and Lochlon Mitchell.
