She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Vester Knight (A. V.) and Mary Green Knight; her husband Hal Starkey; her grandson Carson Starkey; and her friends, R. A. Lewis, Jr. and Mary Lewis.
She is survived by: her son Scott Starkey (Julia Karotkin Starkey); and her grandson Hayden Starkey (Laura Starkey). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
