She was predeceased by: her father Captain Michael M. M. Davis; her grandparents, Colonel Michael M. Davis, Leialoha Davis and Diana Winkler; and her stepgrandfather Terry Seymour.

She is survived by: her mother Anna Davis; her sister Stephanie Clarke (Justin); her stepmother Mary Anne Castles (Curtis Knetsch); her stepsiblings, Rylee and Caden Holder; and her stepgrandmothers, Lisa Davis and Mary Lou Seymour. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites the reader to consider donating to Austin Pets Alive! in memory of Melissa.
