He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberto Rivera and Emilia Rivera; his brothers, Joe, Jesse, Albert Jr. and Vincent (Ray); his daughters, Delma Mendoza and Emilia Rivera (Millie); and his great grandchildren, Bryan Pesina and Arya Jean Arceneaux.
He is survived by: his wife Carolina Rivera; his children, Isabel Corona, Janie Suniga (Victor Suniga II), Alesia Rodriguez (Javier Rodriguez), Debbie, Suniga (Richard Suniga), Lucy Carrillo (David Carrillo), Eva Garner (Leyon Garner), Lupe, Cruz and Albert Rivera; and his sisters, Irene Wentz, Margie Mitchell, Linda Hernandez, Mary Caffey and Delia Mata. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 65 great grand grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
