Rebeca left this world on July 8, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her son James-Ray Meredith; her parents, Martin Escalante and Petra Escalante; and her siblings, Steve Escalante, Tony Escalante, Louise Escalante, Isabel Bueno, Emily Pina and Carmela Olvera.
She is survived by: her children, Alvin Martinez (Miranda Costilla-Aguero), Eva Fisher, Carl-Ray Meredith, Jesse Perez and Adam; and her siblings, Martin Escalante, Janie Escalante, Hopie Rodriguez, Geneva Escalante, Patsy Garcia and Judy Haros. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mission Funeral Home - North Side (607 E Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78752). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location.
