He was predeceased by: his parents, Merilyss Parks-Johnson and Reuben L. Johnson, Sr.; his stepparents, Reginald S. Caldwell Sr. (Connie Easley-Caldwell) and Connie Easley-Caldwell (Reginald S. Caldwell Sr.); his grandparents, Badora Hendricks-Caldwell, John Caldwell, Henrietta Houston-Collins and Arthur Parks (Mamie Gregg-Parks); his brothers, Gerald Caldwell and Varnard Caldwell Sr.; his stepbrother Derrick Lancaster; his stepson Antonio Leon Franklin; and his nephew Joshua Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey Edmondson-Caldwell; his children, LeeDionne Latrish Caldwell "Mikki" (Glenn Jones), Andre Edmondson and Bryan Keith Edmondson; his sister April Caldwell-Gayden (Marx Gayden); his stepsiblings, Yolanda E. Wilson (Raymond Wilson), Reuben L. Johnson Jr., Alonzo Johnson and Anthony Lancaster; his grandchildren, Dejanay Hill and Aaron Franklin; his nieces and nephews, Airel Gayden, Eboni Gayden, Tarmara Wilson, John-Aruther Caldwell, Varnard Caldwell, Jr. and Brandon Easley; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bailee, Aubree, Ja'Ceon Caldwell and Da'marea White.
