He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrique Rendon and Cruz Torres; his siblings, Enrique Rendon, Consuelo Zamora and Eloise Guerrero; and his daughter Debra Lynn Rendon.
He is survived by: his son David Henry Rendon (Angela Rendon); his wife Iris Rendon; his daughter Cynthia Tucker (Deacon Richard Tucker); his siblings, Juan Rendon (Hilda Rendon), Gil Garza and Elizabeth Garza; his grandchildren, Aaron Tucker, Kathryn Tucker (Alexander Larson), Christopher Ojeda, Alexis Castillo (Jose Manuel Castillo) and Angellina Ojeda; and his great grandchildren, Mia and Moe Sanchez.
During Covid, Rene and Iris enjoyed watching the broadcast of the Daily Mass, especially when their son-in-law, Deacon Richard Tucker was assisting.
