He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ancira and Vera Mendoza; and his sister Annie Chapa. He is survived by: his wife Maria Angelica Ancira; and his siblings, Paul Ancira, Jr., Lucy Jackson, John H. Ancira and Jimmy Ancira. He is also survived by his 4 children, 4 step-children; 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other loving family members and friends.
