He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen; his children, Jan (Joe Ebersol), Greg (Jennifer Knight) and Kristin (Tony Haden); his grandchildren, Grant, Marisa (Bryce), Brett (Elena), Kadin, Taya, Megan, Avery, Madi, Aliya and Brooks Caleb; and his siblings, Tom Knight (Inez Knight), Gary Knight (Barbara Knight) and Karen Franklin (Johnnie Franklin). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Austin Baptist Church (7016 Ribelin Ranch Dr, Austin, TX 78750).
