He was predeceased by: his parents, Raynaldo Leyendecker and Esperanza M. Leyendecker; his siblings, Marrilee, Rosilee, Jerry Louis and Martin Sr.; and his pet Freddy Joe.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie "Margie" S. Leyendecker; his children, Melissa Ann (Pete), Phillip Anthony (Dolores), Adam Joe (Rikki), Monica Nicole (Sammie), Christopher Wayland, Daniel Martin, Robert Derrek (Laura), Joe Martin, Alexandra (Oscar) and Jerry Louis; and his brother Ray Leyendecker Jr.. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
