He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Armando Ontiveros, Sr.; his grandparents, Dolores, Julian Rivera, Sr., Antonia and Francisco Ontiveros; his wife Maria Pinon; his sons, Michael (Lauren) and Jacob (Kyra); his mother Mary Ontiveros; his sisters, Sylvia Gonzalez (Art) and Hilda Duran (Andy); his stepdaughter Marissa; his grandchildren, Jase and Kyrsta; his stepgrandchildren, Luken, Haley and Zaer; his nieces and nephews, Marie, Alisa (Joe), Adam, Abel, Omar, Joseph and Malachi; and his cousin Julian Rivera III (Patricia).

A vigil service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the St. Patrick Cathedral (1118 N Mesa St, El Paso, TX 79902). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906).
