He was predeceased by: his parents, J. M. Thompson and Alberta Thompson; and his sister Judy Ann Weede (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Lori; his children, Emily Chavez (Thompson), John Thompson (Jack) and Scorpio Steele; and his son-in-law Kevin Chavez.
