With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sidney Darrell Rich (Austin, Texas), who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Sidney farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sidney is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney E. Rich and Effie Irene Gage Rich. He is survived by: his significant other Marlene; his son Steve Rich (Donetta) of Austin; and his grandchildren, Lauren and Taylor Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hyde Park Baptist Foundation, Marlene Rich Scholarship Fund.
