She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rosario Santander and Antonia Espinosa of Santander; her siblings, Demecio, Esteban, Oliva, Agapito, Tarcicio, Rita and Felipe Santander; her husband Guilebaldo Vargas Sr.; and her children, Seto Vargas (Gabriela Méndez) of Vargas, María Carmen Vargas (Antonio Perea) of Perea, Susana Vargas (Javier Rojas) of Rojas, Silvano Vargas, Rubí Vargas (Javier Valenzuela) of Valenzuela, Jose Vargas, Adolfo Vargas (Leticia Carillo) of Vargas, Guilebaldo Vargas Jr. (Lucia Ruiz) of Vargas and Mireya Vargas (Edward Coello) of Coello. She was also cherished by grandmother and great-grandmother.
