He is survived by: his partner Milda Mora; his children, Mireya Medel, Gabriel Medel (Yoana) and Jeremy Medel; his stepson Phillip Torres (Jodi); his grandchildren, Miiah and Fabian Medel; his stepgrandson Phillip O. Torres; his pet Majesty Medel; his parents, Ruben Medel and Alicia Medel; his sisters, Melissa Briones and Andreana Medel (Jon Fore); his nephew Jonathan Briones (Emilia); his nieces, Zoe and Kloe Medel-Fore; his great-nephew Jonathan Briones, II; and his great-nieces, Emma, Caroline and Ella Briones. He is also survived by numerous cousins; and a vast network of extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - South (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704).
