With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Glen Porter of Austin, Texas, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on June 26, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sharkey Silas and Eska Fay Porter. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Porter; his son James "Scott" Weaver (Christine); his grandchildren, James and Ava; and his siblings, Daniel Porter (Kay) of Round Rock, Honey Nightingale of Lynwood, WA, Charlotte Trevino (Alex) of Pflugerville, TX, Mark Porter of Austin, TX and David Porter (Amanda) of Cedar Creek, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Steven would have wanted donations to go to an extension of his lifelong church family that was birthed by Bishop Kenneth Phillips and continues with his grandson Spencer Scarbrough at Shiloh Austin 7601 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78752.
