He was predeceased by: his parents, Delma Jefferson Spell and Ozelma Virginia Spell. He is survived by: his wife Adelle Spell; his children, David Spell (Cara) and Julie Thompson (Todd); his grandchildren, Derek Spell, Landon Spell (Emily), Abby Spell (Heda Garcia), Mackenzie Harrington (Bryce Kalsu) and Luke Harrington; his great grandchildren, Aria Spell and Grayson Garcia; and his siblings, Stanley Spell and Sherri Del Spell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the "Finish The Race" fund for Woodlawn Baptist Church in Tommy's memory.
