He was predeceased by: his parents, Reba Dail Marshall and Fairman; his brother Bill Marshall; and his sister-in-law Jeannine Marshall. He is survived by: his sister Becky Chatham; his brother-in-law Cliff Chatham; his children, Meredith LaRocque and Taylor Marshall; his former wife Pamela Marshall; and his grandchildren, Hudson, Tucker LaRocque, Ryder and Amelia Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Walter's memory to Wimberley Adoption Group & Rescue.
