With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cathryn Keeling of Avery, Texas, born in Show Low, Arizona, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cathryn left this world on December 9, 2025 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen McAvoy and Mac McAvoy; her mother-in-law Bonnie Keeling; her brothers, Thomas McAvoy, Mac Jr. McAvoy and Mark McAvoy; her siblings-in-law, Penny McAvoy and Tony Martinez; and her great-niece Caitlyn Misener.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Keeling of Avery, TX; her daughter Janetta; her son-in-law Jimmy Smith of Arkansas; her son Thomas; her daughter-in-law Brittney Horn of Haworth, OK.; her grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Justin, Rhiannon Smith of Arkansas, Pam Crosby, Levi Crosby, Rykor Crosby of Haworth, OK, Robin and Casey Simpson of New Boston, TX.; her great grandchildren, Audrey Currens, Christopher Simpson, Izabella Simpson of New Boston, TX and Thomas Reaves of Arkansas; her siblings, Cathy Martinez of Haworth, OK, Cindy McAvoy of Haworth, OK and Jimmy Sill of Cowen; and her close friends, Kathy and Jesse Nichols. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
