He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. Butler and Clara Butler; his wife Stella Butler; and his sisters, Mary Carter and Shirley Spencer.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Haggard (Lee) of Jefferson, Phyllis Butler (Brandon Smith), Nicholas Fredericksen (Pamela) of Avinger, David Fredericksen (Tracy) of Houston and Daniel Favio (Rachel) of Florida; his grandchildren, Natalie, Jordan, Jessica and LeeAnn; his great grandchildren, Addyson, Ava, Carter, Camden, Wyatt and Charlee; and his siblings, Ghena Starrett (Phil) of Avinger and Bo Butler of Woodlawn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
