He is survived by: his siblings, Rob Bates of Dallas, William Floyd (Lisa) of Azle and Karen Couch (Jeff) of Irene; and his nieces and nephews, Felecia Bates O'Neal (Robert) of Waxahachie and Su'Ann Bates of West. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous cousins.
