Barbara McBride Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara J. McBride, who was preceded in death by her parents, E.L. Gilmore and Alice Victoria Gilmore, her beloved husband, Tommy Joe McBride, and her brother, Felton Lewis Gilmore. Barbara is survived by her sister, Alice Marie Holder.
Barbara married Tommy McBride on June 5, 1956, and together they raised a beautiful family, including their four children: Buddy W. McBride and his wife Ramona McBride; Glen W. McBride and his wife Glynda McBride; Linnea Y. Brown and her husband Kevin Brown; Cheryl Villalpando and her husband Daniel Villalpando.
Barbara was a proud grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Prestin Brown, Megan Villalpando, Nina Humphrey, Cory Villalpando, Anthony McBride, Madison McBride, Ryan McBride and Mason McBride. She also delighted in the joy of her five great-grandchildren: Jazmyne Brown, Alexis Villalpando, Jaxson Humphrey, Ava Humphrey and Brynn Humphrey.
Barbara is survived by many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Barbara's warmth, love, and spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A Graveside service will be held to honor her life and legacy at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Ross Cemetery in Baird, Texas. Please join us in celebrating the life of a wonderful woman who touched the hearts of many.
