David Jackson Obituary

David Jackson passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his home in Baird at the age of 76. A memorial will be held at the Texas State Veteran Cemetery of Abilene at a later date.

David was born April 14, 1950 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Hollie Alto (Jack) Jackson, Jr. and Betty Lou Davis Jackson.

He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1969, and went on to serve in the First Cavalry of the United States Army. David enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Hollie Alto and Betty Lou Jackson; sons Darrel Ray Jackson and David Lee Jackson, Jr. He is survived by sisters Donna Cooper and husband Billy, Debbie Winn and husband Joey; brothers Danny Jackson and Dennis Jackson; nieces Christy Cooper, Karen Cooper, Christina Winn, Stephanie Winn; his beloved partner of eight years Jeraldeen Brumbaugh.
