He is survived by: his wife Gina Garlick; his children, Julia Hernandez (Ervey Hernandez) and James Russell Garlick Jr. (Heather Hernandez); and his granddaughters, Chelsea, Alexi, Skylar Hernandez, Brynlee Machuca and Tynsly Carrillo.
