He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Elmer Cornett and Mable Irene Griffin Cornett; and his siblings, Vernon Lee, Wallace Woodrow, Larry Dale, Freddy Ray, Edwin Neal, David Allen, Neva Ann Cornett Brown and Marilyn Kay Cornett McCutcheon.
He is survived by: his brother Douglas Gene Cornett (Laura Cornett Yager) of Blanket; and his cousins, Lanell Griffin Fajkus of Temple, Carl Lynn Squyres of Winters and Danny Smith (Mary) of Kleberg. He is also survived by 10 nieces and 7 nephews, several great nieces and nephews.
A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bangs Cemetery.
