It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna McGaughey of Bangs, Texas, born in Rule, Texas, who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, E. C. Smith and Gladys Smith; her spouse R. J. "Hoot" McGaughey; her son Joe Don; and her siblings, Wanda Townsend of Rule, Mary Anders of Abilene, Cathryn Thane of Midland, Jean Evans of Midland, Jackie Pendleton of Waxahachie, E. C. Smith, Jr. of Elgin and Bill Smith of Little Rock.
She is survived by : her daughters, Keri McGaughey of Trophy Club and Lisa Ryan; her grandchildren, Colten, Cassidy of Midland and Tyler McGaughey (Sarah); her children, Hazel and Amos of Chicago; her sister Audrey Jo Creswell of Denison; her brothers-in-law, Waymond Sheppard of Bangs and Sam Pendleton of Waxahachie; and her niece Ann Nickell of Abilene.
