It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Mayfield of Bangs, Texas, who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his siblings, Loraine Davis and Carl Ray Mayfield; his son Richard Leon Mayfield; his grandson Michael Scott King; and his great grandchild Elijah Ray Flores.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Jean Michael Mayfield of Bangs, TX; his sons, Michael Mayfield (Alex) of Bangs, TX and Philip Mayfield (Erica) of San Antonio, TX; his siblings, Dale Mayfield and Yvonne Reeves; and his grandchildren, Amanda (Greg) of Bangs, TX, Amber (Joseph) of Bangs, TX, Matthew (Ashton) of College Station, TX, Elissa of Corpus Christi, TX, Kayla (Mikey) of Glen Rose, TX and Briana (Cutter) of Rising Star, TX.
